I am currently on maternity leave snuggling with my twin boys and adjusting to life as a family of seven! I look forward to offering services to clients once our twin boys celebrate their milestone birthday...until then my studio is closed.
Hello. My name is Sandra and I'm a professional portrait photograp{her} specializing in newborn, maternity, child, and family photography. I earned an honors degree in creative photography from Humber College and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. I've been photographing the newest and tiniest residents of Caledon and the surrounding areas, as well as their families, since 2008. I am a proud member with the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP). I would be honored to freeze a moment in time for you...whether its a newborn portrait...a baby portrait... or a portrait of your family.
As a mother of five with a formal education in photography, english literature and psychology, as well as years of experience working in a public library setting with children, I have developed an understanding, patience, and ability to interact with little ones. I pride myself in being able to provide a setting that facilitates a fun and relaxed atmosphere.There will be no 1-2-3 cheese. "Cheese" is something I prefer to leave in the fridge! My goal is to provide you with images that will bring a smile to your face every time you look at them.
From pregnancy through to High School Graduation and beyond Sandra strives to preserve forever the small things that you resolve to remember but too soon forget. Whether it be the curl of a newborn, the cute wiggle of a toddler, the curiosity of a one year old, the joy, affection, and drama of family life, or the oh-so-cool stance of a teenager Sandra finds a way to capture your families story so that you can remember it in the years to come.
My style is apparent in my galleries. I strive to capture the unique personality of each client and their family. Hoping for more than just posed smiles, I look for a range of expressions during a session. I know I have caught something magical when my lens freezes an endearing smile or hug between siblings, or when I catch a glimpse of serenity in the eyes of a parent holding their sweet baby. I seek to capture images that speak to your heart and remind you of how your baby, your child, or your teen was during the moment I pressed the shutter... their personality bursting through so much that you never tire of looking at the portrait even years from now.

GIVING BACK
Being a photographer provides me the opportunity to share my time and talent with organizations and people I wish to support. Recognizing the comfort that the gift of portrait photography can give to those in difficult circumstances Sweet Pea gives portrait gifts away to those who need it most. Sandra donates her photographic services to infant bereavement photography. She is proud to be the Area Co-ordinator for Credit Valley Hospital and a affiliate photographer with Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, a non-profit organization that allows families to honor and cherish their babies, and share the spirit of their lives.
